Marketplace Terms

Draft under review — not activated marketplace Terms.

ezGarageSale marketplace beta Terms — DRAFT FOR REVIEW Operator and contact [Insert the legal operator name, ABN if applicable, contact email and address before approval.] ezGarageSale is the marketplace service within ezBusiness Suite. This draft requires qualified Australian review before activation. Using the marketplace Keep account credentials secure and provide information you are authorised to use. Listings must describe the actual item and disclose known faults, missing parts and uncertainty. Do not list unlawful, unsafe, stolen or prohibited items or content. Do not impersonate another person, harass users, send spam, manipulate ratings or manufacture referrals. Listing descriptions and AI Sellers choose their saved wording and what to publish. AI descriptions, condition assessments, prices and hidden search metadata can be wrong. Sellers must review claims before publication. Hidden synonyms and categories help discovery; they are not statements that an item has unverified features. Quoted searches use the visible listing wording. AI feedback is separate from ratings of marketplace users. Deals, payments and meetings Buyers and sellers arrange transactions directly. This release does not process their payments, hold funds or verify that a sale occurred. Agree the price and collection arrangements, inspect items and avoid sharing unnecessary private information. User ratings describe confirmed interactions, not a guarantee of identity, quality or safety. Consider meeting at an appropriate public location. Messaging, location and privacy Private conversations are available to their participants. Platform administrators can review submitted abuse reports and associated reported message content for moderation. Location sharing is optional, shares one chosen/current point with the other participant for up to one hour, and can be revoked from future display. This is not live tracking. Someone who already saw or copied a location cannot be made to forget it. Do not post private addresses, passwords, identity documents or other people's personal information in public listings. Add the operator's complete privacy notice, retention practices and contact/request process before approving these Terms. Ratings and reports Both participants must mark the interaction completed before rating. One rating per participant per conversation is allowed; this does not independently verify a purchase. Report misleading listings, seller conduct and spam through the provided controls. Reports are subject to human review; a report alone does not automatically ban an account. Administrators may close abusive conversations or hide manipulated ratings with a recorded review. Delisting and promotions Unpublishing, marking sold or archiving removes public access and retains the private item. Optional 7-day or 30-day delisting uses the time chosen in the application. Promotions are labelled and do not guarantee views, enquiries or sales. During beta, one free 24-hour boost is available per seven days. Each five attributable new email-verified signups earns one seven-day promotional credit; self-referrals, duplicate users and unverified claims do not qualify. Credits are redeemed explicitly for an eligible published item and are consumed once. No customer charge or paid promotion is enabled by this release. Specify any further promotion and fraud-review policy before approval. Consumer rights and disputes Nothing in approved Terms should exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Rights and responsibilities can differ between a private seller and a business seller. Insert reviewed Australian Consumer Law, dispute-handling and operator-responsibility provisions before approval; this draft is not an assessment of an individual transaction. Versions Published Terms have a recorded version. The application records the version a member accepts. A newly activated version requires new acceptance before community actions or promotions. Existing records do not imply acceptance of later text.
